Fantasy Premier League week 6
Week 5: 50
Total points: 292
It was the worst week s far last week for Saka the net, with a seasons low score of just 50 points. Its far below the target average, but not to the extent that we're miles off the pace. In my main league the scoring wasn't too great anywhere, so not too much ground was lost.
Not too much to write home about as far as star performers go. 3 clean sheets in the back line (Dias, Tierney and, somewhat surprisingly considering the opposition, Tino Livramento), a clean sheet for Ederson in goal and an assist and clean sheet for star boy Bukayo Saka in midfield. That's it. No goals anywhere in the team at all last week.
To compound the disappointment, Captain Bruno only picked up a total of four points for completing the 90 minutes. Its part of a pretty worrying trend this season so far, with my captain picks really letting the team down. The total of 16 in week 4 for Bruno being the highest so far. Captain picks are where titles are won and lost in this game, so my management certainly needs to sharpen up in that department!
On to this week then and it's a tricky one to judge. There are several big fixtures (Chelsea v Citeh, Arsenal v Sp*rs), so there's plenty of scope for it to go wrong. I'll be sticking with all my players from those games though. I've got confidence in City to do a job at Chelsea, and even if they don't, then you imagine Lukaku will have a say in spoiling a potential clean sheet. As far as the Arsenal players go, obiously we are winning the derby, so no fears there at all.
Elsewhere in the team, I've transferred in Andros Townsend this week. With DCL and Richarlison missing, Townsend has done a great job of picking up some of the slack. I'd expect that to continue against relegation certs Norwich. Antonio returns to the line up following his suspension and is joined by West Ham teammate Soucek to face Leeds.
The 11 is made up by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Bruno, who retains the captains armband. It's a favourable tie at home to Aston Villa, so fingers crossed there are some points to be had there.
